“I WANT MORE!” –Β The the only sentence I’m capable of saying after reading this phenomenal closed-door Contemporary Romance book. The beginning of the book was exactly how I imagined it to be. It was a cozy winter night adorned with a bonfire kind of comfort, and I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

The first half of the book highlights how Odette has entered a marriage of convenience with Maddon, a promising candidate for Congress. According to his campaign manager Paul, the only obstacle Maddon faces in his quest to become the youngest Congressman is that he’s not a family man. Therefore, to become a more desirable candidate, he needs to marry someone. That is where Odette comes in. Their marriage life is full of campaigning, understanding each other, and of course, swoon-worthy romance.

Leah has a way with words. She paints a vivid picture with her cleverly crafted sentences that are flushed with emotions. I entered this book hoping to enjoy the read, but I did not, in my wildest dreams, imagine adoring this book as much as I did.

The dialogue delivery was candid, witty, and thoroughly enjoyable. There were instances in the story that tickled me pink, and then there were also times where my eyes had a sheen of tears. The book had everything under the sun and is the perfect read for someone who worships the Romance genre.

The storyline was intricately woven, with the sole purpose of casting a spell on the readers. The story was more character-driven, and Leah did a commendable job at it. The plot was a fresh aberration in the marriage of convenience trope.

The characters were articulately penned. Odette is a headstrong girl with a very high sense of responsibility. She is no damsel-in-distress and is willing to do anything for her family. On the other hand, Maddon is highly devoted to his ambitions, and sometimes, this works against him. I adored the character development of Maddon.

The book was a perfect amalgam of a quirky heroine, a swoon-worthy hero, marriage of convenience, and love. The next book is going to be even better. I already know it.

Now, while I go book my spot in line for the second book well in advance, you guys should go and read this excellent closed-door romance book.

I’ll end my review on the same note I started it – I WANT MORE!
