Behind The Blinds is an intricately woven Mystery/Thriller novel that will keep the readers’ eyes glued to the pages in front of them. It is meticulously researched and vivid penned which makes it an exemplary novel in the genre. The absolute thrill of reading a murder mystery can be understood when you read this book. The cover is what attracted me the most. If you look closely at the title, you can spot the blood stains on the white surface.
Now, It is no secret that Urvi is a highly gifted writer. Her writing style is engaging but a little too informal.
The story is penned from the third persona narrative but is still pretty engaging. In fact, as soon as I opened her book, I fell under the spell of her maestro story telling skills. The sentences are gorgeously balanced and the witty dialogues were a cherry added to the cake. The aura of Mystery that encased the otherwise smooth narrative is what added to the element of thrill in this book.
The characters were well fleshed out and seemed to bear some semblance to reality. Kaira was headstrong and brave & Vivan was ominous and brooding but, definitely a keeper.
The plot was highly intriguing and the mysterious story line kept me turning pages like a mad woman. In a nutshell, this was a highly immersive book; one that I would definitely be recommending everyone!
