Every book one reads leaves them with some life lesson. Does Dream Change Everything is a book that seems to have to Philosophical base. The story starts with boy John who has lost so much in his life and then, it trudges through John’s journey of how he grew through his grief.
The book is divided into 4 parts that delve into 4 different aspects of the author’s life. When I talk about the title and the cover page of the book, both of them are unique and apt. The cover page is especially beautiful. Yet, this was the book that made me understand why one shouldn’t judge a book by its cover.
Apart from the cover, all the other aspects of the book disappointed me a lot. The language of the book wasn’t good. Whilst reading the book, I found it very hard to connect to the story since the lack of fluidity in the language irked me a lot. There were some places where the plot lost its pace and became a bit redundant and that was when I found it very hard to keep reading the book.
The story had potential but the absence of editing diluted the narration. In my honest opinion, I felt that I was reading an unedited manuscript of the book. The book could’ve been a whole lot better if the author would’ve paid more attention to the usage of punctuation and would’ve used better words and sentence formations.
