‘Stay With Me’ is book 2 in ‘With Me’ series by the Jessica Cunsolo. After gobbling up the first book in mere hours, when I was a teenager, I was super excited to read this second installment. Owing to the fact that I read this one once I was a legitimate adult might be reflected in some of my current views.
It continues with the story of Aiden and Amelia and their gang of friends. Honestly, it was a little too dramatic for me. Wattpad books and me have a pretty rocky relationship. I love some; I absolutely hate the others. This one was somewhere in the middle. I was hoping to see some sort of character growth in this book, but, I found bupkis. The characters were pretty much stagnant and all the opportunities for growth that could’ve been posed in the novel, were eluded.
The theatrics and drama reach an all-time high in Stay With Me, the second installment of the With-Me series and thought my 13-year old self would’ve worshipped this book, the adult me is skeptical about the lack of realism. to be honest though, even if I consider my inner teenager’s perspective, the book was a little over-the-top for me. The writing style could’ve been better and the storyline a little less predictable.
Nonetheless, it is a good book for light reading and to get your inner teenager out to play.
