The Fixer is a captivating thriller story about an ex cricketer turned Fixer – Neil Upadhyay. The story beings with Neil’s cricket career succumbing to the ruins & he is unwittingly & unwillingly, dragged into the family feuds of the Upadhyay empire like political scams & ill fate. After almost two decade of playing hide and seek with his demons, Neil finally has to face the fact that his International Career is ruined & hence, he decided to coach an ICCL team in hopes of climbing the ladder of fame again. However, the road to redemption is never easy one.

The Fixer is an amazingly penned Thriller novel which keeps the readers bouncing on the edge of their seats. The world building was phenomenal and the theme was also a bit unique. Sports is a relatively distinct theme in literature and the author has done a wonderful job doing justice to it.

First things first, the cover and the title, both are pretty straightforward & are relevant to the book. The language was lucid & reader friendly. The thrill element was beyond perfect. There were times when I skimmed through the words in my hurry to know what happens next. It was amazing. Granted I had a little trouble getting invested in the story, but as it progressed, I couldn’t put the book down.

This book took my breath away. There were many characters but it was easy to keep track of them. I had a sort of Love-hate reaction to Neil which made his character seem more real. The character development was marvelous & was one of the reasons why I loved this book so much.

I would recommend it to all the thriller lovers!
