“I received this book as an ARC and I’m giving an honest review.”

Wounded Heroes Anthology is a throng of five stand-alone romantic one-shots by different authors. It’s a collation of cute and sappy romantic encounters between a hero and his mate.

Wounded Heroes Anthology was a book that I finished in a matter of a mere 2 days. However, it took me another week to think about how to review the book to give justice to every word penned by the authors. I must say, the book just whizzed past like a smooth and serene wind on a sunny day. Flipping through the pages, I didn’t even realize when the book was over.

Starting from the Title of the book – Wounded Heroes Anthology. Well, I think it is safe to say that the title was just and apt for a book like this. In the book, the heroes are referred to as the people who save the day. Not those who have superpowers and wear capes and fly about in the sky. Nope! Superman, Spiderman, and Batman have become old school these days! On the contrary, this book featured realistic heroes – Soldiers, detectives, police secret agents, and priests.

The book revolved around how physical and emotional wounds become a hindrance for us and how they make us lose purpose in life. But then, it is love that holds our hand and makes us believe in ourselves again. It is love and support which helps us swerve through the asteroid belt of misery and despair which does everything in its power to make us lose our way. It is love which makes us feel safe and whole again.

The plots of all the 5 stories were truly amazing and enchanting. It was almost impossible to put down the book while you are in the middle of a story. The flow, the language, the narrative, everything was wonderful. I especially loved the storyline of the first 3 stories: A Rosa for Russel, Two Steps. New Steps, and Bringing Her Home. The last two stories were also nice, but not as enthralling as the previous ones.

The characters of the stories felt real and I think that was the best part about the entire book. On the whole, the book was a quick and a must-read for all the romantic people out there. This book is the personification of Romance itself. Whether it is a cute, silly and sweet romance that you prefer, or if you have hot, steamy and erotic romance on your checklist, this book caters to it all… And hence, ladies and gentlemen, I would like to recommend this book ONLY for children above the age of 16.

So, what are you waiting for? Hurry and purchase a copy of Wounded Heroes Anthology from Amazon or your nearest bookstores. Grab a cup of coffee, a comforter and cuddle with your loved ones to enjoy this romantic Anthology…
